The VanCougar Newsmagazine
The VanCougar Newsmagazine is an independent newsmagazine that reports on WSUV and local matters. My main role at the magazine was to create meaningful spread designs that complimented the issue's published stories. I took it upon myself to update the team/about page, the table of contents, and the calendar page, all of which appear in each issue. This was so our magazine design can stay recognizable with consistent design.
Through my job with The VanCougar, I had many amazing opportunities, including being able to attend the Associated Collegiate Press conference in Washington DC. There, I was able to join workshops and discussions with some of the biggest news organizations in the country, like The Washington Post and National Geographic, where I learned about professional news and print design.
